Virtually everything we regularly use requires some form of care and maintenance. The oil and filters in our cars must be continuously checked and changed. The dentist suggests we schedule a visit twice each year. We have the HVAC systems on our houses checked with the change of seasons. The lost seems endless. Often forgotten are some of the most precious things we possess: our diamonds and other fine jewelry.

          Some people believe that because diamonds and precious gems are hard and durable, they can be worn for extended periods with no cause for concern for their safety. The gems themselves generally show little sign of wear. But following prolonged exposure to the rigors of our daily routines, the metal holding them in place will diminish in thickness and strength. This can result in their loss.

          Just like your other expensive possessions, having your jewelry cleaned and professionally inspected is a must. And the process is simple, quick and free. Simply bring them to Jolly's Service Department. Our Service Department staff is trained to know how to check for signs of wear, damage and loose stones. We know how each stone type should be cleaned and metal polished. If problems are discovered, we will inform you of and show you the areas of concern. We will also suggest remedies you may choose to take to repair or preserve your jewelry item.

          Whether the piece came from Jolly's or somewhere else, we do not now, nor have we ever, charged for cleaning and inspecting jewelry. You may bring your jewelry to Jolly's as often as you wish. The more often we clean and check it, the more secure you can be in wearing it.
